Is HeyMetra a replacement for a data pipeline?
Not if you need the data somewhere. It reads from your accounts when a tool is called and hands the result straight back to whatever asked; it does not maintain a copy you can point other tools at. If the requirement is "the data must live in BigQuery", that is a pipeline job.
Do I still need Supermetrics if I use HeyMetra?
Only if something else depends on the warehouse copy: a finance model, a BI tool, a team that writes SQL. For the questions someone asks during the week, no destination is involved.
Can either of them change anything in my accounts?
Supermetrics reads and transfers, deliberately, and changes nothing. HeyMetra asks you when you connect: read-only, or may it propose changes there too. Read-only carries no tool that can write, and at some providers the permission we ask for could not write even if we wanted. Where you said yes, nothing is applied on its own. The change waits, with every detail written out, until you approve it, and the same is true of a send to the Slack channel, Telegram conversation or email address you linked.
