WooCommerce MCP Server

Available

Connect WooCommerce once, then use it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex.

The WooCommerce MCP server is a connector on HeyMetra, a remote MCP server for marketing and revenue data. You authorise WooCommerce once with An API key, and it becomes available as tools to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex. It is read-only: nothing here can change your WooCommerce account. WooCommerce is available today, and it sits alongside 13 other sources behind the same connection.

What WooCommerce is

WooCommerce is the open-source store that runs on your own WordPress site — products, orders, customers, and checkout. Because it is self-hosted, your sales data stays on your server rather than a vendor's.

Prompts that work once it is connected

You type these into your own client. HeyMetra never sees the conversation — only the tool calls the client decides to make.

  • How many orders did the store take this week?
  • Which products sold most last month?
  • Which products are out of stock or still unpublished?
  • How do net sales this month compare with last month?

Setting it up

Two steps, in this order: authorise WooCommerce in HeyMetra with an API key you generate in WooCommerce — then add HeyMetra as a remote MCP server in the client you use. The second step is the one that differs.

  1. Claude

Claude calls remote MCP servers "connectors" and adds them from its own settings, under Connectors.

  2. ChatGPT

ChatGPT adds remote MCP servers from its settings; the option is account- and plan-dependent and OpenAI has moved it more than once.

  3. Cursor

Cursor reads MCP servers from an `mcp.json` file — one per project under `.cursor/`, or a global one in your home directory.

  4. Codex

Codex reads MCP servers from its own config file, under an `mcp_servers` section.

Frequently asked

Is the WooCommerce connector available yet?

Yes. WooCommerce works today, alongside 6 of the other 13 sources.

What can I ask about WooCommerce once it is connected?

Whatever the tools can answer — you type the question into your own client, not into anything of ours. For example: “How many orders did the store take this week?” or “Which products sold most last month?”

Can HeyMetra change my WooCommerce account?

No. This connector is read-only: none of the 6 writing tools touch WooCommerce.

How do I connect WooCommerce to Claude or ChatGPT?

You connect WooCommerce to HeyMetra once — with an API key you generate in WooCommerce — and then add HeyMetra as a remote MCP server in whichever client you use. The four client pages carry the step for each one.

What does the WooCommerce connector cost?

Nothing on its own. Plans are priced by how many connectors and seats you get, not per connector or per tool call, and every plan can reach every connector that is live. The pricing page carries the current figures.

The other half of the question lives in a different category: Google Search Console data sits behind the same connection, which is what lets one answer cover both.
