What is an MCP connector?
An MCP connector is an authorized link between one of your accounts and an MCP server, which then exposes that account to an AI assistant as a set of tools. The assistant calls the tools; the server holds the credential and decides what each tool is allowed to do.

Do I need a separate MCP server for each account?
That is the usual arrangement, and it is why cross-source questions are hard: a CRM MCP server knows which leads came in and a store MCP server knows which of them paid, and neither can put the two in one answer. Connecting them behind one server is the reason this one exists.
Which AI apps can use these connectors?

Can a connector change my account, or only read it?
It reads, and it changes an account only where you allow it. Every account starts read-only, and connecting asks whether your assistant may make changes there. Each connector page lists the jobs it can do. Your assistant tells you what it will change, and nothing reaches the account until you say yes in the chat.
