Stripe MCP Server
SoonConnect Stripe once, then use it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex.
The Stripe MCP server is a connector on HeyMetra, a remote MCP server for marketing and revenue data. You authorise Stripe once with An API key, and it becomes available as tools to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex. It is read-only: nothing here can change your Stripe account. Stripe is not available yet — it is marked Soon and cannot be connected, and it sits alongside 13 other sources behind the same connection.

What Stripe is
Stripe is the payments platform that processes your charges, subscriptions, and payouts. It’s the source of truth for revenue, MRR, and churn.
Prompts that work once it is connected
You type these into your own client. HeyMetra never sees the conversation — only the tool calls the client decides to make.
- What did we take in net last month, and how much was refunded?
- How many subscriptions are active, and what are they worth per month?
- Which payments failed last week, and what reason did the bank give?
- How many charges succeeded this month?
Setting it up
Two steps, in this order: authorise Stripe in HeyMetra with an API key you generate in Stripe — then add HeyMetra as a remote MCP server in the client you use. The second step is the one that differs.
-
Claude
Claude calls remote MCP servers "connectors" and adds them from its own settings, under Connectors.
-
ChatGPT
ChatGPT adds remote MCP servers from its settings; the option is account- and plan-dependent and OpenAI has moved it more than once.
-
Cursor
Cursor reads MCP servers from an `mcp.json` file — one per project under `.cursor/`, or a global one in your home directory.
-
Codex
Codex reads MCP servers from its own config file, under an `mcp_servers` section.
Frequently asked
Is the Stripe connector available yet?
No. Stripe is marked Soon and cannot be connected. 7 of the 14 sources work today; this is not one of them, and no plan includes it yet.
Does Stripe have an official MCP server?
Yes — the vendor publishes one, and it is the first result for that search (docs.stripe.com, checked September 2026). It covers Stripe and nothing else. This connector sits next to 13 others behind one connection, which is the difference: one server that reads the account you spent in and the account you earned in.
What can I ask about Stripe once it is connected?
Whatever the tools can answer — you type the question into your own client, not into anything of ours. For example: “What did we take in net last month, and how much was refunded?” or “How many subscriptions are active, and what are they worth per month?”
Can HeyMetra change my Stripe account?
No. This connector is read-only: none of the 6 writing tools touch Stripe.
How do I connect Stripe to Claude or ChatGPT?
You connect Stripe to HeyMetra once — with an API key you generate in Stripe — and then add HeyMetra as a remote MCP server in whichever client you use. The four client pages carry the step for each one.
What does the Stripe connector cost?
Nothing on its own. Plans are priced by how many connectors and seats you get, not per connector or per tool call, and every plan can reach every connector that is live. The pricing page carries the current figures.
Connectors next to this one
The other half of the question lives in a different category: Google Search Console data sits behind the same connection, which is what lets one answer cover both.
Stripe is not available yet
This page exists so it is ready when the connector is. Do not buy a plan for Stripe — tell us you want it instead, and we will say when it lands rather than when we hope it will.
