HeyMetra vs Supermetrics

Landing your data somewhere you can analyse it, versus reaching it from the client you already have open.

What Supermetrics is built for

Supermetrics is a data pipeline. It pulls marketing data out of ad platforms and analytics tools and lands it somewhere else — a warehouse like BigQuery or Snowflake, a spreadsheet, or a BI tool — on a refresh schedule, so that whatever you build on top has consistent data underneath.

Side by side

HeyMetra Supermetrics
What it delivers Tools your AI client can call against the live account Your data, landed in a destination you chose
What you build first Nothing — you authorise an account and add the server to your client A destination, and whatever reports or models read from it
Data freshness Read at the moment the tool is called As fresh as the last scheduled refresh on your plan
Where your data sits Stays in the source account; nothing is copied to us Copied into the destination you own and manage
Can it change your accounts A small number of named write tools, bounded in code No, by design; it reads and transfers
Pricing shape Per workspace, by connectors and seats Per destination and data source, so a second destination is a second subscription
Who operates it Whoever is already using an AI client Usually someone comfortable with a warehouse or BI tool

Compared against Supermetrics’s own description of what it does, checked September 2026. No prices or feature counts here — those move, and a stale number in our favour would be worse than none.

Which should you pick?

Pick Supermetrics if you need the data to live somewhere — a warehouse other teams query, a spreadsheet finance maintains, a BI layer that already works. Pick HeyMetra if you do not need a copy at all, and what you actually want is for the client you already talk to to be able to reach the accounts.

When Supermetrics is the better choice

Supermetrics is the better choice when the destination is the point: you are feeding a warehouse other teams query, you need a defined schema for finance or attribution modelling, or your reporting already lives in Looker Studio and Power BI and works. A pipeline is the right tool for that and we are not one.

Frequently asked

Is HeyMetra a replacement for a data pipeline?

Not if you need the data somewhere. It reads from your accounts when a tool is called and hands the result to the client that called it; it does not maintain a copy you can point other tools at. If the requirement is "the data must live in BigQuery", that is a pipeline job.

Do I still need Supermetrics if I use HeyMetra?

Only if something else depends on the warehouse copy — a finance model, a BI tool, a team that writes SQL. For the questions someone asks during the week, no destination is involved.

Can either of them change a campaign?

Supermetrics does not — it reads and transfers, deliberately. HeyMetra can, through a small number of named write tools, each checked against ceilings held in code and held for a person's approval. Not every HeyMetra connector is live — the connectors page marks each one, and the ones that are not carry no buy button.

HeyMetra's connectors go live one at a time, and every connector page says whether it works today — so you find out before you pay, not after.
