The Model Context Protocol in plain words](https://heymetra.com/blog/what-is-mcp/): MCP is an open standard that lets an AI assistant reach the apps and accounts you already use. HeyMetra also reaches where the money lands: store orders, CRM pipeline, subscriptions and search traffic. - [Are MCP connectors safe? The four questions worth asking](https://heymetra.com/blog/are-mcp-connectors-safe/): An MCP connector gives an assistant real access to a real account. What makes one safe is the tool list, where the bounds live, and who approves a change. - [ChatGPT for marketing: the copy-paste ceiling, and how to get past it](https://heymetra.com/blog/chatgpt-for-marketing/): ChatGPT can reason about your numbers but cannot see them, so you paste. What connecting the accounts changes, and what it does not. - [HeyMetra vs Supermetrics: pipeline, or the accounts themselves](https://heymetra.com/blog/supermetrics/): Supermetrics moves marketing data into a warehouse or spreadsheet. HeyMetra exposes the accounts to the assistant you already use. What each is built to do. - [What is an MCP connector? Standard vs custom](https://heymetra.com/blog/what-are-mcp-connectors/): An MCP connector is one authorised account behind an MCP server. How a standard connector differs from a custom one, and when you need the second. ## What it does - Connects 26 accounts across ecommerce, CRM, subscriptions, app attribution, search and analytics, through OAuth or an API key. - Every account starts read-only. Connecting asks whether the assistant may propose changes there; an account left read-only cannot be changed, and at some providers the permission we ask for cannot write at all. Where you said yes, nothing is applied on its own: a change is held as a card carrying the exact payload and applied only when you approve it. - Answers questions that span sources — which leads the CRM took and which of them the store billed — because both accounts sit behind the same connection. - Holds every change to an account for a person. A message goes to the channel you linked straight away; switch on Ask before sending to hold each one as an approval card, and an email to an address you did not save always waits for one. See https://heymetra.com/security/. - Runs no model of its own. You ask in Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Antigravity, on the subscription you already pay for. ## Works with - [Claude](https://heymetra.com/mcp/claude/) — Claude calls remote MCP servers "connectors" and adds them from its own settings, under Connectors. - [ChatGPT](https://heymetra.com/mcp/chatgpt/) — ChatGPT adds remote MCP servers from its settings; the option is account- and plan-dependent and OpenAI has moved it more than once. - [Grok](https://heymetra.com/mcp/grok/) — Grok adds remote MCP servers from grok.com/connectors: New Connector → Custom, which asks for the MCP server URL. xAI calls this "bring your own MCP". - [Perplexity](https://heymetra.com/mcp/perplexity/) — Perplexity adds remote MCP servers in its settings rather than in a file: Settings → Connectors → Custom connector → Remote, which asks for an HTTPS MCP server URL. Perplexity documents it as a Pro, Max and Enterprise feature. - [Claude Code](https://heymetra.com/mcp/claude-code/) — Claude Code adds a remote server from the terminal (`claude mcp add --transport http `) or from a `.mcp.json` file in the project root; `/mcp` inside a session shows what is connected. - [Codex](https://heymetra.com/mcp/codex/) — Codex reads MCP servers from its own config file, under an `mcp_servers` section. - [Cursor](https://heymetra.com/mcp/cursor/) — Cursor reads MCP servers from an `mcp.json` file: one per project under `.cursor/`, or a global one in your home directory. - [Antigravity](https://heymetra.com/mcp/antigravity/) — Antigravity reads MCP servers from an `mcp_config.json` file (one per project under `.agents/`, or a global one at `~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json`), and a remote server is declared with `serverUrl`, not `url`. ## Connectors (26) Available today: Google Search Console, Trendyol, n11, Çiçeksepeti, Amazon Seller Central, WooCommerce, Stripe, Zoho CRM, Zoho SalesIQ, Zoho Marketing Automation, AppsFlyer, RevenueCat, Jira, PostHog, Adapty, App Store Connect, Slack, Telegram, Email.
